His performance at Afro Nation Portugal 2023 was the most talked about show all year, and saw the fast-rising artist going on to sell out 20,000 tickets at the O2 Arena within just two years of launching his career. One artist that fans have longed to see back on the beach in Portugal is Nigerian sensation Rema. Busy sending shockwaves around the world, Rema recently left everyone spellbound at the Ballon D’Or awards, all while riding the wave of ‘Calm Down’—now hailed as the longest-charting and most triumphant African anthem to grace the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. Rema clinched Best Afrobeats at the 2023 MTV EMA Awards, cementing his status as one of the greats, and now adds headlining The O2 London to the growing list of accolades just this week.

British Afroswing artist J Hus is set to make a huge return to Afro Nation this June. This summer Ninho collaborated with Central Cee, and today, he joins the lineup promising an exhilarating addition to the bill.

An exciting moment signifying Amapiano’s growing evolution into the mainstream, South African artist Tyla jumps over from the Piano People stage to the Main Stage, off the back of latest viral smash hit ‘Water’ which has propelled her into the spotlight and solidified her position as a key player in the Amapiano movement. This time again, Afro Nation Portugal strikes hard with Amapiano superstar duo Major League DJz who have made an indelible mark on the UK already, performing to over ten thousand people at London’s new Drumsheds venue this month. Joining them is the Amapiano sensation, the dragon herself; Uncle Waffles, Amapiano’s own president of the streets ‘President Ya Straata’ Focalistic, and a special moment where “Mnike”-singer Tumelo.za joins Tyler ICU for a set to celebrate the biggest ‘piano anthem of the year.
