WWE Premium Live Event comes to Scotland for first time

For the first time ever, a WWE Premium Live Event comes to Scotland where hometown hero Drew McIntyre will have the chance to put down current World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest, and take back the title he briefly held for 5 minutes, 46 seconds at WrestleMania XL.

It all started at Survivor Series where Drew McIntyre reluctantly agreed to team up with Damian Priest and the Judgement Day despite tension between the two sides, which ultimately cost them a victory and any future friendly collaboration. Fast forward to Australia at the Elimination Chamber where Drew McIntyre earnt his shot against long time rival Seth Rollins for his World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL. At the Showcase of the Immortals, Drew would triumph against Rollins to finally celebrate winning a title in front of fans at WrestleMania, something he was denied in 2020. However, Drew McIntyre decided to get in the face of guest commentator and number one enemy CM Punk, eventually causing Punk to snap and drop Drew.

Damian Priest, knew that now was his best opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank contract which he won at the O2 in London last year. This contract allows its holder to create a title match at any point they feel. In Priests’ case, seizing on McIntyres misfortune to cash in and steal away Drews title after just 5 minutes and 46 seconds.

Now they meet again for Drew McIntyres rightful rematch on his home turf in Glasgow, Scotland at the WWE’s first ever Premium Live Event in Scotland at Clash at the Castle.

Clash at the Castle takes place at the OVO Hydro Glasgow Arena which will stream live on Saturday, June 15, at 7PM BST on Peacock in the United States, and on WWE Network everywhere else.
