What To Wear Now: The North Face

The North Face today announced their latest collection celebrating and elevating women in the outdoors in collaboration with graphic designer and illustrator Naomi Otsu.

The collection is inspired by the essence of exploration, shared community and shared journeys. Otsu took time to understand what it means to lift each other up and push each other forward, creating a design that celebrates women in the outdoors and invites us all to discover our nature.

The Naomi Otsu exclusive print incorporates the effervescence of the wilderness intertwined with some of The North Face’s most signature pieces such as the 1996 Retro Nuptse Jacket, to empower individuals to discover what Mother Nature has to offer.

Her work is inspired by the cultural crossroads in her life and her signature touch of vibrantly colored and meticulous work. Plants and objects have been playfully and discretely personified, whilst the maximalist approach to design fills every space with meaningful detail.

On the collection, Otsu said: “I love seeing patterns in nature because I like to think that flowers and plants have their own personalities, like all of us. This collection has been made to inspire others to discover the undiscovered. Similar to my design, if you look closely [at nature] you might find a surprise”.

The Otsu collection is available to purchase on https://www.thenorthface.co.uk/ and in select The North Face stores. To keep up to date on future launches follow @thenorthfaceuk on Instagram, and @thenorthface on Facebook.
