Manors, the UK brand created three years ago to celebrate golf’s history of style, is turning their attention to the game’s future. The change of course sees Manors undergo a rebrand whilst launching their first performance collection on Sunday the 23rd of March, designed to help golfers explore the frontier of the game and the culture.
Manors travelled by plane, car and ferry to Western Scotland’s far flung golf courses to reveal The Frontier Collection. The Machrie, The Machrihanish, Dunaverty and Shiskine were the perfect backdrops for The Links Diary’s own Graeme McCubbin, and esteemed cinematographer Jason Jahnke to photograph a campaign that taps into the wanderlust golfers know so well; scrolling through top hundred lists at work, marking them on google maps, dreaming of throwing clubs in the back of the car and taking off for parts unknown.
“Golf is f****** hard, so it makes sense that most brands want to help people improve – but there’s more to it than shooting low. We don’t believe golf is just a sport to be mastered; it’s a game to be explored.”
Luke Davies, Co- founder and Creative Director of Manors
The collection is purpose made for seasons, wind and weather and is characterised by relaxed silhouettes of the finest and most innovative technical materials. The muted and monochromatic colour palettes are drawn from the natural and rugged golf courses of the UK, but Manors plays beyond the fairways too. Taking design inspiration from sports, music and films to bring the game a fresh cut. The result is a truly original collection that never asks golfers to sacrifice style for performance.
Highlights include the first ever Zip Off Tech Plus Fours, a tribute to the sports’ first style icons and a perfect embodiment of the Manors principle; acknowledging tradition doesn’t mean you’re bound by it. Another notable piece from the collection is the Frontier Shooter Shirt. Inspired by the effortlessly stylish NBA warm up jerseys of the late 90’s, the Frontier Shooter Shirt is styled with thermal under garments and layers, for spring and autumn days when the temperature swings as much as you do.
The Frontier Collection launches on www.manorsgolf.com and a number of select retailers on the 23rd of March 2023.
