Hollister Co., the global teen lifestyle brand, has announced its partnership with The Mix, a UK charity dedicated to providing essential support to under 25s. The partnership will also see the launch of exclusive World Teen Mental Wellness Day products, with 100% of net profits benefiting The Mix.
In light of the challenging past year experienced by many, and as we look ahead to World Teen Mental Wellness Day on 2nd March, the partnership couldn’t be more timely.
World Teen Mental Wellness Day was founded in 2020 by Hollister to recognise and celebrate its commitment to ensuring that teens feel more confident, comfortable and capable. Now an annual event taking place on March 2nd, World Teen Mental Wellness Day aims to normalise conversations and dismantle stigmas around teen mental health issues.
Together, Hollister and The Mix will encourage teens to use 2nd March as an opportunity to practice self-care, be kind to themselves and remember that, while social media might portray a different story, it’s okay to not be okay.
In celebration of this year’s World Teen Mental Wellness Day, Hollister has revealed that it is dropping an exclusive fleece hoodie and tote bag. 100% of the net profits* from the sales of the Hollister World Teen Mental Wellness Day collection in the UK will go to The Mix, a registered UK charity providing essential support for under 25s.
*£20.05 donated per fleece sold, & £4.82 donated per tote sold. [From 2nd March, until collection sells out]. Learn more about the Mix at [https://www.themix.org.uk].
While World Teen Mental Wellness Day represents an annual placeholder to learn about and reflect on mental wellness, Hollister is dedicated to promoting teen mental health all year long through the Hollister Confidence Project, an ongoing global initiative that supports individuals and non-profits working to strengthen confidence & mental wellness in teens through grants.
Katie Adams, Director of EMEA Marketing at Hollister, spokesperson says; “At Hollister, our purpose is to build confidence in the teens we serve and we are beyond excited to build a long-term relationship with The Mix, who we have long admired as an essential support system for teens. We are really looking forward to working with them, to raise awareness of their essential work and help as many young people as we can together.”
Zoe Bailie, Director of Brand & Development at The Mix, says; “The new partnership between The Mix and Hollister is fresh and exciting! Together we aim to bring together millions of young people to connect them to information and support on Teen Mental Wellness Day 2021 and beyond.
This couldn’t have come at a more important time as now more than ever young people all over the world are struggling with their mental health, especially with issues such as loneliness, anxiety, and depression.
Hollister are committed to building confidence in all young people and as the UK’s leading support service for under 25s The Mix will provide the tools and community for all young people to get and give support.”
