Westfield London is shaking up the festive season with a brand-new Christmas experience: Wrapping Rappers — where rap meets ribbon and shoppers get their gifts wrapped and turned into personalised freestyle tracks.
This playful activation arrives for two live events across December, transforming a typical holiday chore into one of London’s most unique entertainment moments.
Live Freestyle + Gift Wrapping: How It Works
Across two evenings, Westfield shoppers can hand over their Christmas purchases and watch as performers rap freestyle verses inspired by the gifts, the recipients, and all things festive — all while wrapping each item in exclusive Westfield paper.
The experience is totally free, open to all ages, and perfect for anyone looking to make their shopping trip a little more memorable.
Harvey from So Solid Crew Kicks Off the Series – 9 December
The series launches on Tuesday 9 December (6pm–8pm) with a special appearance from Harvey of So Solid Crew — known globally for the iconic UK garage hit “21 Seconds”.
Harvey will perform a live set featuring fan favourites and new material before stepping behind the “gift-rap” station to turn shopper stories into freestyle bars. He’ll also be joined by Twin MCs, the former So Solid members who captured audiences on The Voice UK.
Harvey says:
“Family and music are two of the things I love most, and Westfield is the perfect place to bring them together… I’ll be helping with the wrapping too, although I can’t promise it will qualify as fine art!”
Masters of Ceremonies + Young Athena — 18 December
On Thursday 18 December (7pm–8pm), the gift-wrapping mic will be taken over by Masters of Ceremonies, creators of the UK garage classic “Do You Really Like It?”.
The lineup includes DJ Pied Piper, Unknown MC, Sharky P and DT — bringing throwback energy for the holiday crowds.
Rising London artist Young Athena will close the evening with her latest tracks. With more than 100 live performances to her name — including the BRIT Awards Afterparty, London Fashion Week, and the UEFA Champions Festival — she’s set to bring serious stage presence.
