WAGAMAMA NOODLE UNION EXTENDS ITS MEMBERSHIP TO INCLUDE APPRENTICES

wagamama is excited to announce the extension of the wagamama noodle union to welcome in apprentices to sign up and join. Last year, wagamama elected its first President Niko Omilana to lead the noodle union, a safe and inclusive space where wagamama connects with university students and offers them fresh and exclusive content, offers, events, and more all year round. This year, he takes it a step further as he announces the policy to open up the noodle union to more people through apprentices.

This latest announcement comes from self-proclaimed wagamama super-fan and President of the noodle union, Niko may have missed out on becoming the London Mayor, but remains the gallant leader and has now allocated his noodle union budget forecast for 2023. His mission is simple – to give noodle union members access to unique experiences, bowlfuls of content, and exciting wagamama meet ups. To celebrate the extension of the noodle union, and supporting students and apprentices during difficult times, all existing and new members of the noodle union will receive a drink and a side on the house when purchasing a main from wagamama in the month of March, alongside a number of other exciting drops, which will be shared exclusively through the noodle union.

As part of its wider support to students, wagamama announces that it is launching ‘student hubs’ to help bring students together by offering them a safe space to connect with their peers. Launching in 22 locations across the UK from now until the 28th March on Monday and Tuesday each week, each restaurant will have space for 25 students at a time, on a first come first served basis, where they can make use of wagamama’s hub to study and enjoy some time away from the pressures of ongoing strikes and feelings of loneliness. Each student will be eligible to redeem a free side and drink with the purchase of a main meal, and the first 10 students to arrive each day will receive a student care package filled with exclusive wagamama merch. Max Simons-Dukes, Senior Brand Manager at wagamama says: “We know the current climate is challenging for young people, which is why we have made the decision to open the virtual doors of the noodle union to now include apprentices too. At wagamama, we want everyone to feel included, so the noodle union offers a safe and inclusive space where students, apprentices and wagamama can come together to feel supported, whilst reaping the benefits of giveaways, content, and competitions.”

Ramen Rush

To celebrate all things nourishment and noodles, Niko has coined a new day in the student calendar as he will be announcing a big moment for 28th March, where members of the noodle union will be invited to head down to their nearest wagamama restaurant for the greatest giveaway the noodle union has seen so far, dubbed the ramen rush. Keep your eyes peeled as rumour has it, Niko will make a special appearance at wagamama in Camden, London on this day. The next phase of Niko’s presidency will come to light as he unveils his noodle union presidential plans via Instagram and TikTok, so watch this space…

The Golden Ladle Competition

As the man of the people, and in honour of Ramen Rush, this year Niko is giving away not one…but five, golden ladles, which grant lucky noodle union members one year’s worth of wagamama completely free. To enter you must stand outside a wagamama and take a selfie, share the image on Instagram, tag wagamama, and the best five images will receive a golden ladle. The 5 winners will be announced on 3rd April. For a chance to enjoy £1,200 worth of noodles, katsu, gyozas and much more with £100 to spend each month, students and apprentices need to sign up to the noodle union at https://www.noodleunion.wagamama.com/.

The Presidential Platter

The President himself has crafted two of his very own, limited-edition bundles, in partnership with wagamama and available on Deliveroo. Each member of the noodle union will be given a unique code, which gives them access to the exclusive platters, and includes all of Niko’s favourite wagamama sides such as duck gyoza and chilli squid, with a plan based option available too. Every student and apprentice who purchases one of the Niko platters is entered into a draw with the chance to win a meal with the President himself, who will hand deliver their limited-edition feasts and join the lucky noodle union members at their place. After the meal is up, wagamama will provide all the equipment for the noodle union members to have the ultimate house party including a DJ set and sound system. The winner will be announced on 31st March. For the chance to win a meal with the president and the ultimate flat party, students and apprentices need to sign up to the noodle union at https://www.noodleunion.wagamama.com/ .

wagamama noodle union President, Niko Omilana says:

“Just when you thought this President has reached the highest heights of greatness, here I return with an announcement that we are opening the noodle union to apprentices. The young people of this country need noodle nourishment from bowl to soul and I am on a mission with wagamama to give that to students and apprentices across the UK. There is so much more to come so watch this space, and keep an eye out for me in a wagamama near you…”
