Vybz Kartel has announced Freedom Street Europe in Malta—a four-day and four-night takeover of dancehall, reggae and Caribbean culture from Thursday 11th September to Sunday 14th September 2025.
After the landmark success of Freedom Street Jamaica, drawing worldwide attention, Vybz Kartel will be bringing Freedom Street to Europe, for the very first time. Freedom Street Jamaica marked a historic night on New Year’s Eve, featuring Vybz Kartel’s highly anticipated first performance after 13 years in prison. The event saw unforgettable performances from Dancehall and Reggae heavy weights including Spice, Popcaan, Skillibeng, Tommy Lee Sparta, Chronic Law, Busta Rhymes, and many others, cementing its place in Dancehall history.
Confirmed for the Europe edition this September, Vybz Kartel will take the stage for two nights, delivering two different setlists that have never been performed before. Freedom Street Europe promises to be a one-of-a-kind event, with the full lineup yet to be revealed. Vybz Kartel will perform tracks from his extensive discography of 23 albums, delivering an intimate live experience that highlights his influence on the genre and the cultural legacy he continues to build.
Set across Malta’s premier venues, for four-days and four-nights, the celebration will include open air concerts, super club takeovers, pool parties, boat parties, DJ’s and much more. The event is set to make history once again and will mark the biggest dancehall music celebration of 2025. Freedom Street Europe will mark Vybz Kartel’s only European performance after Wireless Festival.
