With Spring arriving, travel season has begun and this year experts predict travel will continue to boom globally, rising by a further 30%. Uber is launching new products and features that will get you to, from, and even around the airport as easily and efficiently as possible. Here’s what you can expect:
90-day reservation on Uber Reserve
This will let you reserve a ride up to 90 days in advance (before it was 30 days), so the next time you’re booking flights, you can lock in your ride to the airport and your fare – leaving nothing on your itinerary up to chance.
Directions to pickup
Step-by-step instructions within the Uber app to seamlessly guide you through the airport and get you from your gate to the Uber pick-up location. This feature helps travellers navigate through both new and familiar airports and launches in 30+ airports across the globe, including in London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, New York, San Francisco, São Paulo, Mexico City and more! Feature will roll out to further airports in the coming months.
Walking ETAs
We’ve all been there – you’re waiting to get off the plane and wondering how long it’ll take you to get from the gate to the Uber pick-up location. This new feature will help you more accurately plan how long it will take to get to baggage claim – so you won’t be waiting for your ride to arrive. Available at more than 400 airports around the world.
