TOKYO’S ANIMEJAPAN 2026 RETURNS WITH DEMON SLAYER, ONE PIECE & EXCLUSIVE MERCHANDISE

Anime fans worldwide are counting down the days to AnimeJapan 2026, one of the largest anime events in the world, returning to Tokyo Big Sight on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, 2026. Now in its 13th edition since its launch in 2014, AnimeJapan promises bigger stages, more exhibitors, and an unparalleled lineup of anime experiences.

This year, the event expands beyond the East Exhibition Halls, which previously welcomed over 150,000 visitors, to include the South Exhibition Halls and Rooftop Exhibition Area. With participation from over 120 companies, AnimeJapan 2026 will feature its largest floor space yet, offering fans an immersive dive into the worlds of anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture.

Sakurazaka46 Returns as Ambassadors

Popular Japanese idol group Sakurazaka46 is returning as AnimeJapan 2026 ambassadors for the second year in a row, drawing excitement from fans eager to see their performances live. The event will also feature the highly anticipated “Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking 2026” awards ceremony on March 4, celebrating the manga series fans hope will hit the big screen next.

Full AJ Stage Lineup Announced

The AnimeJapan KICKOFF 2026 event has revealed the complete lineup for all 50 AJ Stages, including major titles like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, JUJUTSUKAISEN, ONE PIECE, and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. The event features four main stages—RED, GREEN, BLUE, and WHITE—bringing live performances, exclusive announcements, and fan interactions to life.

Tickets and Admission

AnimeJapan 2026 offers two ticket options: with Stage Lottery and without Stage Lottery.

  • Tickets with Stage Lottery allow participation in the stage lottery and are priced at ¥2,500 per day, with free entry for children under 12. Sales run from January 16 to February 24, 2026, and stage lottery applications are open February 27 to March 5, 2026. Tickets are available via Trip.com.

  • Tickets without Stage Lottery are valid for admission only, priced the same, and available from February 25 to March 27, 2026.
