TIME-LOOP HORROR MANOR OF DARKNESS SET TO HAUNT DIGITAL PLATFORMS THIS DECEMBER

Ridder Films, in association with producer Lucas A. Ferrara, has officially announced the US digital release of Manor of Darkness — a chilling new time-loop horror from award-winning filmmaker Blake Ridder. The film will be available to stream and download from December 9.

Starring Escape’s Sarah Alexandra Marks, As I Am’s Kim Lysette Spearman, Louis James (River of Blood), Blake Ridder, and Stuart Wolfe Murray (Makeup), Manor of Darkness promises an unnerving blend of psychological tension and supernatural dread.

A Haunting That Never Ends

At the heart of the story is Laura, a young woman struggling to care for her terminally ill mother. Desperate and out of options, she reconnects with her estranged brother Chris for one last job — stealing a priceless artifact hidden in a remote English manor.

Disguised as a documentary film crew, Laura, Chris, his girlfriend Lisa, and their cameraman Andy infiltrate the manor under the guise of filming a historical feature. But inside, they encounter Lucas, the reclusive owner with a cryptic past and chilling tales of a curse that refuses to die.

When the group pries open a sealed chest in the basement, they awaken an ancient evil — and time itself begins to spiral out of control. Trapped in a relentless time loop, the team relives the same terrifying day, with only Laura remembering each reset. As reality fractures and paranoia deepens, she must uncover the truth behind the curse — and face an impossible choice to break free.

“A Nightmare You Can’t Wake Up From”

Speaking on the upcoming release, Blake Ridder said:

“From the start, I wanted Manor of Darkness to feel like a nightmare you can’t wake up from. The time-loop structure allowed me to explore how fear compounds when the same moment repeats with slight, unnerving differences. Every reset forces the characters, and the audience, to question what’s real, what’s inevitable, and how much control we truly have.”

Ridder describes the manor as “a psychological trap,” where repetition becomes suffocating and each small choice carries devastating consequences.

“Rather than leaning on simple scares, the film builds dread through escalation. Manor of Darkness is less about defeating the dark and more about what the dark reveals in us.”

“A Masterclass in Atmospheric Tension”

Producer Lucas A. Ferrara praised Ridder’s meticulous direction:

“Manor of Darkness is a masterclass in atmospheric tension. Blake Ridder doesn’t just direct — he orchestrates unease with surgical precision. It’s a meta-horror that dissects the very act of filmmaking, turning the lens inward on ambition, ego, and fear. What Blake achieved here isn’t just genre storytelling — it’s psychological excavation.”

When and Where to Watch
