That doggy in the window: Ring releases adorable doggy footage for National Dog Day

Gwen, a 29-year-old from Teeside, was chuckling at work as she watched her one-year-old dog, Button, having a playful encounter with the window cleaner.

Captured on a Ring Stick Up Camera, Gwen was having a normal working day when she was alerted to motion in her home and saw Button excitedly leaping at the window.

Button, a rambunctious puppy, was observing her first window-cleaning session, tail wagging as she bounced up and down, evidently trying to mimic the movements of the window cleaner.

Despite her absence, Gwen enjoyed the paw-formance on her phone through the Ring app and showed her colleagues the mischief Button was getting into at home.

“It was Button’s first time seeing a window cleaner and watching her live reaction was pure entertainment,” Gwen explained, amused by the sight.

“We’ve had Ring devices for about three years. We installed a Video Doorbell first for security reasons and loved it, so when Button joined the family we decided to get a Stick Up Camera as well so we could check in on her whenever we were out. She’s a real character and the video really shows just how much energy she has. I’m 5ft 2 and she can jump higher than me!”

Ring’s Advanced Motion Detection feature means customer phones are alerted when someone (human or canine) is nearby. With Ring Protect plan, customers can also download, save, and re-watch videos in HD so they never miss a moment of what is happening outside or inside their home.

If you have pet footage captured on your Ring device, please send it to ukstories@ring.com or visit the Ring website here.
