Roof East’s sky high Jenga tournament is back for 2021

We may not be able to head to the Olympics this year, but Stratford’s Roof East has a better alternative. Forget everything you thought you knew about Jenga and head to London’s biggest adult playground this July for a brand new take on the much-loved household game. Featuring feel-good 80s vibes, crazy challenges, fantastic prizes and an iconic east London drag queen, Barbs, as the guest host, guests are sure to be in for an afternoon of unbridled fun.

On 24th July from 3-6pm, Roof East will be challenging Londoners to the ultimate Jenga championship with teams invited to flex their competitive muscles in east London’s biggest block stacking showdown. With rounds including Chess Clock Jenga, Speediest Skyscraper Jenga and the famously difficult Fat Glove Jenga, participants will get the chance to show off their quick-fingered dexterity for the chance to win big.

No Jenga championship would be complete without a vivacious host, which is why Roof East have enlisted the help of a very special guest: the one and only east London drag star, Barbs. Once dubbed ‘the princesses of Green Lanes’, DJ, performer and all round queen Barbs will be running the show, providing an all-important commentary on the performance of the players and keeping the crowd buzzing, as well as adding a bucketload of glitz and glamour to the brick stacking fun.

When it comes to prizes, Roof East has upped the ante this year. Battle your way to the top and you’ll have a 1 in 20 chance of winning a grand prize of a whopping £500 in cash plus a shiny trophy, a Jenga Gold set to relive the game at home and the smugness of knowing you’re the reigning Jenga king or queen. Runners up won’t be disappointed either, with second place receiving a £100 Westfield voucher and a Roof East VIP experience for two, and third place also winning an opportunity to Roof East for a unique VIP experience for two.

Tickets cost £12.50 for a team of 2 and include funky 80s sweatbands and one signature cocktail per person. Tickets are available to purchase here, with all proceeds going to Centrepoint Homeless Charity.

So what are you waiting for? Gather your mates with the steadiest hands and head down to Roof East for the most show-stopping Jenga tournament London has ever seen.
