PRIDE-GOERS SURPRISED WITH FREE CARE(Y) PACKAGES CREATED AS A NOD TO HEADLINER

Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), the UK’s largest train company and the only operator for services in and out of Brighton, is celebrating Brighton & Hove Pride by surprising festivalgoers with free ‘Care(y) Packages’ at London Blackfriars station and encouraging them to embrace their inner diva – providing everything needed for a day of celebrations.

Packages will be packed with items including electrolytes, SPF, a paper fan, glitter tattoos, and butterfly face stickers – ensuring they can remain cool in August heatwave temperatures and slay all day long!

Beyond brightening people’s day, this giveaway aims to encourage rail safety for Pride-goers. GTR has labelled some essentials with ‘See it, Slay it, Sorted’ off the back of its recent music track about safety on the railway – reminding people to stay safe on their travels to and from Brighton, while bringing a smile to those glammed-up faces.

Jenny Saunders, Customer Services Director at Govia Thameslink Railway, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to be once again be supporting Brighton & Hove Pride, the energy in the city is always fantastic. Knowing so many will travel from London to Brighton, we wanted to kickstart the celebrations en route. GTR is passionate about rail safety, so we hope these packages keep festivalgoers cool and energised.”

“We, of course, want everyone to have a wonderful day, but remember to travel responsibly. The ‘See it, Slay it, Sorted’ labelled items are there to remind people to be safe on their journey to and from Brighton & Hove Pride.”

Pride-goers travelling through London Blackfriars train station can get their hands on a free ‘Care(y) Package’ for today only. They will be handed out between 10:00am and 11:15am. GTR encourages passengers to stay safe over the weekend by carrying water, staying behind the yellow line while travelling through its stations and using the BTP’s non-emergency number, 61016, if needed.
