POLYGON PORTAL LONDON: NEW IMMERSIVE SPATIAL AUDIO LISTENING ROOM LAUNCHES IN SOHO

A new era of music listening is arriving in London as Polygon Productions unveils Polygon Portal, a cutting-edge immersive listening room set to open in the heart of Soho on 7 May 2026.

Designed as a secret, members-only cultural space, Polygon Portal is built for deep, intentional music experiences — from album premieres and live performances to wellness sessions and curated audio journeys.

Access will be available exclusively through free Polygon Insider membership via the official site: https://polygon-productions.live/polygon-portal/

A 360° Spatial Audio Experience Like No Other

At the core of Polygon Portal is a state-of-the-art 17.1.10 L-Acoustics spatial audio system, powered by L-ISA technology. The setup creates a fully immersive, three-dimensional sound field that places listeners inside the music.

The system includes:

  • 17 surround speakers with individual subwoofers
  • 10 overhead speakers
  • 6 additional subwoofers
  • 4 front-positioned subs for enhanced depth

This advanced configuration allows for object-based mixing, meaning sound can move dynamically around the room — transforming how audiences experience albums, live sets and sound art.

Reimagining Music Listening Culture in London

Polygon Portal arrives at a time when audiences are increasingly seeking more meaningful, distraction-free music experiences.

Evening programming will include:

  • One-off live performances
  • Album launches and world premieres with artist Q&As
  • Landmark albums reimagined in spatial audio
  • Exclusive fan events

Confirmed artists featured in spatial audio premieres include names such as Jeff Buckley, Sigur Rós, Yann Tiersen, Fink, Beth Orton, Lee Scratch Perry, and Mouse on Mars, alongside label collaborations with Ninja Tune, Mute, Domino, Partisan, Ghostly International, Sony Music, Edition Records and more.

Each session is designed to strip away distraction and reconnect audiences with music in its purest form.

The Polygon Portal Essay Series

Beyond live events, Polygon Portal introduces a new format: The Polygon Portal Essay Series.

These curated listening sessions combine:

  • Themed playlists
  • Editorial essays
  • Cultural and historical context

The aim is to deepen emotional connection to music by exploring the stories, influences and meaning behind what listeners hear.

Sound, Wellness and Resetting the Mind

Polygon Portal is also launching a dedicated Wellbeing Programme, using spatial sound to support relaxation, movement and mental clarity.

Morning sessions will include:

  • Guided meditation
  • Yoga and breathwork
  • Pilates and movement practices
  • Qi Gong
  • Sound baths and immersive sound journeys

Practitioners collaborating on the programme include Earth Echo, Elemental Resonance, House of Voga, Tom Middleton’s Senzomi, and more.

The goal is to explore how immersive audio can help rebalance the nervous system and enhance wellbeing.

Partnership with Nordoff and Robbins

Polygon Portal is partnering with Nordoff and Robbins, the UK’s largest music therapy charity, allowing guests to support the organisation through optional donations when booking experiences.

Sandy Trappitt, Director of Fundraising at Nordoff and Robbins, said:

“Polygon’s immersive ‘Portal’ listening room concept brings the idea of music being more than something we just listen to… it deeply resonates with our mission.”

A New Creative Space for Artists and Audiences

Founded by Polygon Productions, the team behind pioneering spatial audio environments, Polygon Portal represents the company’s first permanent immersive listening venue in London.

Founder Adam Nicholas explains:

“We wanted to build a space where listening becomes the main event again… Polygon Portal is designed to bring audiences inside the music.”

The space is designed for:

  • Artists exploring spatial audio formats
  • Labels launching immersive releases
  • Fans seeking deeper musical experiences
