Pokémon fans heading to London this spring are in for something truly special. The Pokémon Company International has officially unveiled new details about its much-anticipated collaboration with the Natural History Museum, London, including exclusive merchandise and a limited-edition oversized Pokémon TCG Promo Card featuring Pikachu at the Museum.
First announced in September 2025, the free, ticketed pop-up shop celebrates the concept of ‘Pokécology’, bringing together Pokémon’s imaginative creatures with the Natural History Museum’s world-renowned focus on nature, evolution and biodiversity.
What is the Pokémon x Natural History Museum pop-up?
Running from Monday 26 January to Sunday 19 April, the pop-up will be housed inside the Museum’s Cranbourne Boutique shop. Due to overwhelming demand, the experience was extended to allow more fans to attend, although all time slots are now fully booked and walk-ins will not be permitted.
For Trainers lucky enough to have secured a ticket, purchase limits will be in place throughout the run to ensure fair access to products.
The immersive retail space is inspired by the acclaimed Japanese publication Pokécology: An Illustrated Guide to Pokémon Ecology, which explores how Pokémon live, evolve and adapt to environments ranging from lush forests to shadowy caves. Alongside themed merchandise, visitors can enjoy an artwork display that brings this ecological concept to life.

Exclusive Pokémon merchandise inspired by the Museum
The pop-up collection includes brand-new products created exclusively for the Natural History Museum collaboration. Many designs draw inspiration from the Museum itself, including the iconic Hintze Hall and its ornate botanical ceiling panels, reimagined with Grass-type Pokémon such as Ivysaur and Victreebel.
Other artwork takes cues from the Museum’s archive of classic naturalist books and scientific illustrations, showcasing a wide range of Pokémon types — from Water and Bug types to designs celebrating Eevee’s many evolutions.
Product categories include:
-
Stationery and posters
-
Clothing and bags
-
Pins and gold-plated decorations
-
Special edition Pikachu plush toys
This makes the collection a must-see for both Pokémon collectors and fans of unique, design-led merchandise.
Oversized Pikachu Pokémon TCG Promo Card
One of the most exciting reveals is the oversized Pokémon TCG Promo Card, featuring Pikachu at the Natural History Museum. All purchases made in-store at the pop-up will include the card as a gift with purchase.
From Friday 30 January, the oversized card will also be available as a gift with purchase at select UK retailers, giving fans across the country a chance to take part in Pokémon’s first-ever collaboration with a UK museum. The promo card will not be available through Pokémon Center.
Online availability and Pokémon Center launch
For fans unable to attend in person, many items from the collection will also be available via the Natural History Museum’s online shop from midday on 26 January 2026, while stocks last. Selected ranges will also launch on Pokémon Center UK, the official online store for Pokémon merchandise, in early February.
Purchase limits will apply online, and fans can sign up for Pokémon Center email alerts to be notified when products go live.
Supporting science and conservation
Every purchase made in the Museum shop and online store directly supports the Natural History Museum’s charitable mission, including the work of over 400 scientists researching biodiversity and tackling the planetary emergency.
For Pokémon fans, it’s a rare chance to pick up exclusive collectibles — and support vital scientific research at the same time.
