Pokémon is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a unique collaboration with one of London’s most iconic cultural landmarks. The Natural History Museum will host a dedicated Pokémon pop-up store, inviting fans of all ages to discover Pokémon through the lens of evolution and the natural world from January.
The Cranbourne Boutique within the Museum will be transformed into a bespoke Pokémon retail space, its design inspired by the Museum’s architecture and archival naturalist sketches. The collaboration will mark the shared fascination between Pokémon and the Museum for biodiversity, adaptation, and evolution. Just as Pokémon evolve into new forms, the Museum’s galleries trace the story of life on Earth, from ancient fossils to today’s living species. The project aims to inspire curiosity, bridging the worlds of science and popular culture in a playful and educational way.
Visitors will find an exclusive product range designed for the pop-up, including apparel, stationery, accessories, prints, and a new plush created especially for the collaboration. A selection of products will also be available online, ensuring that fans across the UK can take part in the experience.
The Pokémon x Natural History Museum pop-up store will run from 26th January to 22nd March 2026. Entry will be free but ticketed, with reservations available from 1st October 2025. Tickets can be booked via the Natural History Museum’s website, with limited availability expected due to high demand.
The Natural History Museum is one of the world’s most visited museums and a global leader in scientific research – with a mission is to create advocates for the planet by deepening public understanding of the natural world. The Pokémon Company International, meanwhile, continues to expand one of the most successful entertainment properties in history, managing the brand outside Asia and inspiring new generations through games, animation, and storytelling – forming a perfect partnership for this inventive London experience.
