Marking the next chapter of Nike’s relentless focus on innovating for all runners, the new Nike Alphafly 3 delivers marathon speed to push beyond what you thought possible. It’s our lightest and most tested Alphafly ever, validated by elite athletes and powered by Nike Air Zoom to help all athletes break barriers in the marathon – no matter their pace. Nike’s competitive advantage is our system of speed — a proprietary combination of Air Zoom units, foams and carbon fibre plates that powers the Alphafly.
The prototype colourway of the Nike Alphafly 3 is available beginning January 4, 2024 at nike.com, on the Nike app, and at select running specialty stores.
What’s New?
High-stack ZoomX midsole
High-stack ZoomX midsole creates an ultra-light and cushioned feel designed to keep you fresh from mile 1 to 26.2. What’s new: One continuous bottom connecting the heel and forefoot, designed to offer varying footstrike patterns a smoother, neutralized heel-to-toe transition – regardless of your pace. An all-new reductive midsole geometry in the midfoot and heel, where foam was removed to reduce weight while still ensuring a confident and stable footstrike. The new reductive design carves away foam in the midsole and heel to put it only where you need it and concentrate the load on the forefoot Air Zoom units.
Dual Air Zoom
Dual Air Zoom units in the forefoot absorb the impact from the road and return energy back to you, launching you into your next step. What’s new: The updated midsole was constructed to optimize your foot’s engagement with the airbags, ultimately letting the Air Zoom units do more of the work for you.
Carbon fiber Flyplate
Full-length carbon fiber Flyplate delivers a stable and propulsive sensation underfoot, keeping
you moving with ease. What’s new: The new Flyplate was widened on the medial side in the midfoot to improve stability.
