The third articulation of the partnership between the iconic British footwear Dr. Martens and accessories brand and the label born on the backstreets of Ura-Harajuku, Tokyo, continues their conversation in monochrome, utilising the 5-eye Smiths shoe and Penton loafer. Taking a considered approach that highlights their shared passion for craft with elevated design details while retaining the edge of subcultural references.
THE PENTON HAIRY SUEDE & SMOOTH, BLACK LOAFER
A classic slip-on shoe constructed with textured Hairy Suede and a contrast smooth leather heel counter, both in black. The vamp of the shoe has been reconsidered with a Creeper-inspired woven design and framed by moc toe stitching. A NEIGHBORHOOD “craft with pride” logo is screen printed in white across each heel.
RRP £170
THE SMITHS SMOOTH BLACK SHOE
A slimmer, tapered, 4-eye version of the traditional 1461 shoe. Constructed from DM’s famous black smooth leather for a uniform, subtle sheen. Asymmetrically screen printed with white NEIGHBORHOOD logos across the left vamp and right outer heel quarter to create an unorthodox distortion. Finished with a monochromatic edition of the AirWair script heel loop.
RRP £160
Both shoe and loafer are set on a black DMS outsole with a standout white welt stitch with a covert icy blue, dual-branded sockliner.
The DR. MARTENS x NEIGHBORHOOD collection will be available from 22nd November on both brands’ e-commerce sites, in selected limited Dr. Martens stores, and in selected multi-brand stores.
