Monzo is ending the year with a festive financial surprise: the launch of Double Payday, a UK-first feature that will see ten lucky customers receive double their salary every month—tax-free. Rolling out on 8 December 2025, this new perk arrives just in time for the expensive winter season and the long stretch before January payday.
According to Monzo, the “best day of the month just got even better,” with the bank set to randomly choose ten customers each month and match their incoming salary payment. For example, if a customer earns £2,500 take-home pay, Monzo will add another £2,500—no deductions, no strings attached.
How Double Payday Works
Double Payday is available to all Monzo users, including those with joint accounts. To be eligible, customers simply need to have their weekly or monthly salary paid directly into their Monzo account via BACS. Salaries between £300 and £20,000 qualify, with payouts capped at £10,000.
