The release signals a more introspective chapter for the genre-blending artist, arriving alongside the announcement of his expansive 40+ date ‘Fix Your Face’ headline world tour, which includes major stops in London, New York, Los Angeles and beyond.
“Breathe” Marks a New Emotional Era for Masego
“Breathe” sees Masego lean into vulnerability like never before, pairing his signature fusion of jazz, R&B and hip-hop with stripped-back, emotionally charged production.
Anchored by choir-led harmonies and raw vocal delivery, the track reflects on grief, burnout and the pressure of balancing personal tragedy with a relentless touring and studio schedule.
The song was inspired by a real-life experience navigating the loss of a family member while continuing professional commitments.
Masego explains:
“It’s about me trying to process a death in a family, but then having to go into a meeting, and then a studio session, and then travel… It made me want more consideration for the fact that the artist’s job is not unionized.”
The result is one of his most emotionally exposed releases to date, offering a rare glimpse into the human experience behind the artist’s global success.
Fix Your Face Tour 2026: Masego Announces Global Headline Run
Alongside the release, Masego has unveiled his Fix Your Face Tour, a 40+ date global run marking his first headline tour in nearly three years.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour will showcase both fan favourites and new material, including tracks from his forthcoming project.

“Breathe” follows a run of 2025 releases including “I Win,” “Unhinged,” and “Spin The Block,” which marked Masego’s return to solo material after a two-year hiatus.
These tracks continued to refine his distinctive sonic identity—rooted in live instrumentation, improvisation and genre-fluid production.
