KIMPTON FITZROY LONDON AND CAMPARI REOPEN THE TERRACE FOR SUMMER 2026 IN BLOOMSBURY

London’s alfresco dining scene has a stylish new addition this summer as Kimpton Fitzroy London unveils the return of The Terrace in collaboration with Campari. Situated in the heart of Bloomsbury, the newly redesigned outdoor courtyard promises an Italian-inspired escape complete with signature cocktails, stone-baked pizzetta and seasonal small plates.

The reopening arrives as Bloomsbury continues to gain recognition as one of the capital’s most desirable destinations, recently named among Condé Nast Traveller’s “Best Places to Go in the UK” for 2026.

A New Look Inspired by the Italian Riviera

The Terrace has undergone a seasonal transformation led by designer Emily Gunning of Gunning Bespoke Ltd. Drawing inspiration from an Italian summer in Portofino, the refreshed space blends warm timber accents with vibrant yellow and coral tones to create a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere in central London.

Architectural details from the historic hotel have also been woven into the redesign, including elegant Giallo Siena stone tabletops and layered textures that add warmth and sophistication to the open-air courtyard.

Located within the Grade II-listed Kimpton Fitzroy London, the venue offers a tranquil hideaway from the city while remaining moments away from some of the capital’s busiest cultural hotspots

Campari Cocktails Take Centre Stage

The drinks menu celebrates classic Italian aperitivo culture with a range of Campari-led serves designed for summer sipping.

Highlights include:

  • Campari Spritz
  • Campari Soda
  • Non-alcoholic Bambi Spritz
  • Bicicletta with white wine, soda and orange
  • Fitzroy Aged Negroni with Campari, gin and Fitz’s sweet vermouth blend
  • Uva e Carciofo featuring Cynar, Courvoisier and sweet vermouth

Guests can also explore an extensive Champagne and sparkling wine list throughout the season.

Italian-Inspired Dining in the Heart of London

The food menu has been designed to complement the relaxed aperitivo experience, with dishes inspired by classic Italian coastal dining.

Smaller bites include spiced Gordal olives with garlic and chilli, alongside crispy polenta fries topped with parmesan. For larger plates, diners can expect dishes such as:

  • Marinated tuna crudo with cherry tomato and raspberry vinaigrette
  • Saffron and lemon risotto with pine nuts and crispy kale
  • Tricolour salad with buffalo mozzarella and avocado
  • Burrata with rocket, balsamic and focaccia

Stone-baked pizzetta options include margherita with torn basil and pepperoni topped with truffle honey.

Desserts continue the Italian theme with affogato, limoncello sgroppino and traditional rum baba rounding off the menu.

When Does The Terrace Open?

The Terrace officially opens on Sunday 24 May and will operate seven days a week from 12pm until 10:30pm throughout the summer season.

Thanks to its retractable roof, the venue has been designed for all-weather dining, making it an ideal destination for both sunny afternoons and evening cocktails in the capital.

Reservations are recommended and can be made directly via the official Kimpton Fitzroy London Terrace page.
