Karim Benzema set to cap off his most successful Real Madrid season ever

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is about to complete his most successful ever season for Los Blancos at the age of 34. Real Madrid have already captured the LaLiga Santander title, while star man Benzema is destined for the Pichichi Trophy, awarded to the season’s top goal scorer. Benzema has already smashed his record goals tally by notching 27, with his previous highest being 24 in 2015-16. An understanding with his attacking team-mates has seen him equal his highest assists record of 12, which he previously hit in 2012-13.

He is also just one goal away from becoming Real Madrid’s second-ever highest scorer outright – he currently sits equal with legendary striker Raul. To celebrate the Frenchman’s phenomenal campaign, LaLiga are distributing a content package to media, following the final round of fixtures this weekend. With detailed statistics, imagery and insight from his teammates, we hope it will help any content planned to celebrate one of LaLiga Santander’s star players, particularly in the run up to Real Madrid’s participation in the UEFA Champions League Final.
