Grind: Cult Coffee, Bottomless Brunch, and Possibly the Ultimate Drink of the Summer

Grind’s hotly anticipated Spring/Summer drinks have landed across London and Manchester, and we guarantee they’ll have people queuing for a taste. The cult coffee hotspot has created three irresistible cold serves, including a must-try Black Sesame Hojicha, that will be offered with their usual drinks menu – and served up alongside their delicious food and cocktail options that will be keeping guests well fed and watered throughout the sunny season.

The new additions centre on three hero drinks that capture distinctive summer flavours. The Rhubarb Cream Matcha brings a soft matcha-packed creaminess to refreshingly tart notes of its base, while the Pistachio Americano combines smooth Grind coffee with the trending nut favourite. But it’s the Black Sesame Hojicha that leads the way, with a uniquely complex texture that balances a slight grit with a rich sweetness, making this one of the most exciting flavour profiles to land in UK coffee shops this season.

Alongside these, drinks like the Honey Nut Shaken Latte, Lychee Matcha, Darjeeling Iced Tea, and Frozen Vanilla Protein Latte remain on the menu for those wanting to indulge in their familiar favourites. The menu arrives at a time when matcha is seeing a sharp rise across the UK, and Grind’s own numbers back that up. Matcha revenue has grown by 332% over the past two years, with iced now making up a whopping 77% of all matcha orders during summer. Even in winter, iced matcha continues to hold a strong share, pointing to a much wider shift in drink appetite.

Of course, there’s more to Grind than its matcha and summer serves. Founded in London in 2011, the brand has grown into one of the UK’s most recognisable coffee names, spanning cafés, restaurants and its very own roastery. A cult following has come naturally, driven by quality coffee, a clear sustainability focus, and the unmistakable pink branding. Alongside its core offering, there’s always something new to explore at Grind, with seasonal offers, creative collaborations (including a Pokémon partnership to mark its 30th anniversary), and limited edition drops, such as £5 Espresso Martinis on Fridays that are perfect to kick-start the weekend.

For those after something more substantial, snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served across selected locations, with bottomless brunch a particularly popular choice on weekends, pairing classic dishes with free-flowing Prosecco, Tommy’s Margaritas and Aperol Spritz. The classic Grind Breakfast is a great choice for the best of all worlds, alongside the Sweetcorn & Courgette Fritters that are served with a poached egg, chilli, and spring onion sour cream. There’s Thick-cut French Toast on the sweeter side, while options like Acai Bowls, Prawn Katsu Sandos, and Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burgers make sure nobody leaves hungry.

Our recommendation? A brunch spread of Eggs Royale and French Toast in the sunny Broadgate courtyard, washed down with the new Salsa Verde Picante with a Black Sesame Hojicha to go. You’ll thank us later.

The new summer drinks menu is now available across Grind locations in London and Manchester. Find out more about Grind and locate your nearest restaurant, truck or coffee shop right here.
