From 22nd – 24th July, Rooftop Film Club, is inviting you to dust off your corsage and live out your favourite 90s prom fantasy, with its Midsummer Nights Dream Prom weekend.
Bussey Building has prepared a weekend of 90’s prom classics, so dust off that chintzy dress and get your glam on for the screening of Never Been Kissed on Friday, She’s All That on Saturday and 10 Things I Hate About You on Sunday. Over at Roof East, people can catch other 90s Prom classics like Lady Bird, Perks of Being a Wallflower and Jawbreaker.
Bussey will be getting a 90s prom makeover, giving you the chance to live out your team romcom dreams IRL. Picture roman pillars, ivy, trees and classic prom extras like an awkward photo set with a dedicated photographer, corsages and of course a throne for the prom King and Queen. Guests are invited to don the glad rags for the full 90s prom effect – making it a real weekend to remember.
Rooftop Film Club at Bussey Building will also be giving one lucky winner the chance to ignite three friends to get their prom on, with a limousine ride to Peckham on 22nd July for the screening of Never Been Kissed. Winners will also receive De Kuyper cocktail kits, Rooftop Film Club goody bags, Share A Slice pizza and De Kuyper cocktails. Participants will need to like the @rooftopfilmclub giveaway post, comment and tag up to 3 prom dates they’d like to go with, they must also be following both Rooftop Film Club and De Kuyper Cocktails. The winner will be decided 1-2 weeks prior to the event and will be announced via Instagram.
Throughout the weekend the usual drinks and food will be available at Bussey Rooftop Bar for those attending. Cocktails will be brought to the roof by bar partner De Kuyper Royal Distillers. Don’t miss their special Prom Queen Punch — made with Reyka Vodka, Prosecco, Crème de cassis, lemon juice, sugar syrup, and raspberries — alongside their Margarita, Blue Lagoon, and Diablo cocktails. Pair your cocktail with an authentic stone-baked delight from the new menu at Share A Slice pizza, who will be serving up fave classics plus lots of new & exciting flavour combinations. #LetsHaveACocktail!
At Roof East, guests have the whole roof at their disposal. Grab a bite to eat at Naughty Burger, Raastawala, Piddaji and Treats Club and sample a whole range of drinks including wine, craft beers, soft drinks and mocktails alongside a specially crafted cocktail menu.
