Digital and physical worlds collided yesterday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Captain Morgan gave NFL and gaming fans the ultimate money-can’t-buy experience – playing NFL on screen and on the pitch with some of the sport’s biggest legends.
The first in a series of epic ‘in-real-location’ (IRL) gaming events from Captain Morgan, adult gamers had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy on-screen touchdowns and off-screen fun ahead of Sunday’s showdown with former NFL Defensive Back and media pundit Jason Bell and ex-Pro Jack Crawford.
Lucky crews were able to show off virtual skills on a huge 20 ft screen installed on the pitch with pro audio sound system, fuelled with game-day food and of course, Captain Morgan drinks. They also got to take part in real-time NFL football drills with NFL alumni on the field of the new 63,000-seater – home to Sunday’s game between New York Giants vs Green Bay Packers, which they’ll also attend.
Jason Bell, NFL Defensive Back and media pundit, said: “It felt great to be back out on the pitch again putting in big tackles, even if it was controlling a player on the big screen this time. Gaming in the NFL stadium is about as immersive experience as you can without stepping out in a real game, so it really was a once-in-lifetime opportunity.”
