DRAKE LAUNCHES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ‘$OME $PECIAL $ONGS 4 UK EU’ TOUR IN BIRMINGHAM

On Sunday night, five-time Grammy-award winning and multi-platinum global artist Drake kicked off his highly anticipated $ome $pecial $ongs 4 UK EU tour in Birmingham, UK with the first of three shows at Utilita Arena. Drake took the stage to the live debut of “GIMME A HUG,” delivering an electrifying setlist that featured hits including “Marvins Room,” “Teenage Fever,” “Headlines,” “In My Feelings,” “Controlla,” and more. Halfway through the show, special guest fellow Canadian rapper and singer PARTYNEXTDOOR came out to join Drake for “CN TOWER,” “DIE TRYING,” “SOMEBODY LOVES ME,” and other songs off their latest collaboration, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which released on Valentine’s Day via OVO Sound. Drake returned to the stage solo to perform “Rich Baby Daddy,” “Hotline Bling,” “NOKIA,” and more, closing the night with “Yebba’s Heartbreak.”

The kickoff follows Drake’s massive three-night headlining run at Wireless Festival in London’s Finsbury Park (July 11–13), where he stunned fans with a stacked lineup of surprise guests, including Lauryn Hill, Bryson Tiller, Giveon, Bobby Valentino, Maro, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Yeat, fakemink, Headie One, K Trap, J Hus, Skepta, Dave, Central Cee, 21 Savage, Latto, Sexyy Red, Vanessa Carlton, Popcaan, Rema, and Vybz Kartel.

The tour marks Drake’s first return to Europe and the UK in six years, following his 2019 Assassination Vacation Tour. The UK/EU leg comes on the heels of his sold-out run in February across Australia with the Anita Max Win Tour. Throughout 2023 and 2024, Drake completed his monumental, sold-out 80-date It’s All A Blur Tour across North America, featuring special guests 21 Savage and J. Cole.

The $ome $pecial $ongs 4 UK EU tour continues tomorrow night with the final show in Birmingham at Utilitia Arena before continuing with multiple nights in Manchester, Amsterdam, Zurich, Stockholm, Milan, Berlin, Munich, and more before wrapping up on Tuesday, September 23 in Hamburg, Germany at Barclays Arena. ABOUT DRAKE:
Drake is a Grammy Award-winning, platinum-selling recording artist and multi-faceted performer. Canadian born, the hip hop artist first emerged in the music industry in 2009 when he debuted his EP So Far Gone, named the hottest mixtape of the year by MTV and selling over 650,000 copies.
