Red Dwarf fans are in for a treat this weekend as co-creator Doug Naylor is officially joining the packed guest list for MCM Birmingham Comic Con, taking place 28–30 November at the NEC.
Naylor—best known for creating the iconic British sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf—will appear on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 November for photo ops, autograph sessions, and a special signing of his new children’s book Sin Bin Island. Only a limited number of copies will be available, making this a must-see moment for long-time fans.

A Legendary Career in British Sci-Fi
Since launching Red Dwarf in 1988, Doug Naylor has overseen 12 series and two mini-series, guiding the show through its BBC run (1988–1999) and its successful revival on Dave (2009–2020). His appearance at MCM adds even more excitement to a weekend already stacked with pop-culture icons.
