Crunchyroll at AnimeCon UK screening big anime hits

Connecting anime fans across 200+ countries and territories, Crunchyroll will be at AnimeCon UK this year, screening some of the most popular shows in anime and giving guests the chance to walk the ‘Orange Carpet’, perfect for all visitors.

Crunchyroll will be showing some big anime hits over the weekend, including episode 1 of Dr. STONE New World where high schooler Senku and his friends plan to kickstart civilization with the power of science! Viewers can see Season One of VINLAND SAGA and join Thorfinn on a journey of self-discovery and revenge to honour his father. Also being shown are episodes 1 and 2 of TRIGUN STAMPEDE Season One as a lovable motley crew uncover the mysteries of their world ‘No Man’s Land’. Season One of The Ancient Magus’ Bride will also be playing at the Crunchyroll screenings where a chance encounter begins to turn the wheels of fate.

Taking place at the UK’s largest exhibition venue, the NEC Birmingham, from Saturday 17th – Sunday 18th, this promises to be the must attend event in 2023 for the anime, K-pop and manga community. With an extensive list of international guests and exhibitors across two legendary days, AnimeCon is centred around the anime, cosplay and manga obsessed. Visitors can expect to learn the day’s trending dance moves, dress like their favourite k-pop idol and get the best skin care tips from Korea’s top-tier beauty influencers.

Visitors can plan out their two days of jam-packed events settling down for screenings, exploring the artist alley and joining in on tailor-made panels featuring the world’s biggest creators.

An extra special Fandom after-party led by Shao Dow and Level Up Leroy performing live will see performers, artists, gamers, streamers and manga masters take to the stage.

For two days this summer, Asian pop culture fans will meet the voices behind the most popular anime characters of all time, including Maile Flanagan, the English voice behind the iconic Naruto, for over twenty years. Also joining the event will be the English voice of Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba: Zach Aguilar. Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train is currently the top-grossing anime film of all time. Brianna Knickerbocker the voice behind popular video games and anime like Hu Tao from Genshin Impact, Sakura in Fire Emblem Fates and Elaine in Seven Deadly Sins and the iconic Mela Lee voice of Lifeline in Apex Legends. To top it all off: the English voice from the hottest anime on the planet right now will join AnimeCon UK: Ryan Colt Levy – Denji from Chainsaw Man.

Also attending are the most hyped names in the pro cosplaying world Taryn, Lani, Emberwolf and Fukuro, who will appear beside free drawers like Mangalivepaint, who uses skateboards as their canvas, conceptual digital artist Joshua Dunlop, and intricate explosions from student artist Hugo Pang. The full list of performers, artists, gamers, streamers and manga masters is yet to be released.
