BULLSEYE! WARWICK CASTLE LAUNCHES HALF TERM FESTIVAL OF ARCHERY FUN

Warwick Castle is gearing up for February Half Term with the launch of its annual Festival of Archery. The festival promises fun for all the family with a variety of live demonstrations, archery tournaments and a chance to meet expert archers.

Running from Saturday 10th February until Monday 19th February, guests will be able to get up close and personal with Warwick’s resident archers and learn everything they need to know about ‘bullseyes’, ‘targets’ and ‘arrow flex.’ Guests will be able to learn about archery in medieval times up until the present day and how it’s changed in terms of hunting and sport over the centuries.

The Festival of Archery will host shows throughout the day in three locations around Warwick Castle, including the chance to meet the archers in between shows to learn about their craft and expert skills.

As well as getting to know everything about the ‘nock’, ‘fletching’ and ‘grains’ of an arrow, guests will also be able to explore everything Warwick Castle has to offer, including The Castle Dungeon, the Winter Birds of Prey and the world’s first Zog Playland. Inspired by Zog and the Flying Doctors by author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler, little ones will love sliding into the Zog Playland and soaring through the sky on dragon wing zip wires.

After the excitement of the Festival of Archery, there is also plenty of food options to satisfy every craving. From tea and sandwiches in the Conservatory Tea House, pasties and cake at the Undercroft Café and Costa coffee and soft drinks at the Flying Ambulance, located in Zog Playland.

We are incredibly excited to welcome families to Warwick Castle this February Half Term for our exciting Festival of Archery. It promises to be a captivating experience for all ages, combining the rich history of the castle with the thrill of archery. Join us and immerse yourself in the medieval world, where families can create lasting memories together. We look forward to providing an entertaining experience that will leave everyone with a sense of wonder and adventure.”

Liam Bartlett, General Manager at Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle will also be hosting concerts including JLS, The Darkness, MIKA and Craig David presents TS5, as well as spooky Halloween and festive Christmas activities for guests later in the year.

Warwick Castle is open daily from 10am until 4pm. Pre-booking is advised but on the day walk-ins are an option for guests. Tickets start from £25 and guests can save 35% off the gate price by booking in advance online.
