Electric Castle reveals the final lineup for its 2025 edition! The 24hr Transylvanian festival phenomenon is gearing up for 120 hours of live music across 10 stages, featuring headline performances by global superstars Justin Timberlake, Queens of the Stone Age, Yungblud, Justice and Bicep, alongside over 200 artists – ranging from punk rebels and electronic visionaries to voices of a new generation of performers. All roads lead to Bánffy Castle in Transylvania, from 16-20th July.
As a true bucket list festival Electric Castle has it all, creating a summer utopia with one of the friendliest communities in the world, partying together all day and night at this magical destination. Opening the chapter to the next decade of shows within 17th century castle grounds, the festival has a bright future as a game-changing leader in the field, serving up an unforgettable experience in the heart of Transylvania.
Among the new names announced is YUNGBLUD, the pop-punk rebel known for turning every hit into a powerful message. “More of a preacher than a singer,” as he describes himself, Yungblud has sold millions of records worldwide with his boundary-pushing approach to music. He’ll open his mainstage show at Electric Castle with his new 9-minute long single “Hello, Heaven, Hello!” – a jaw-dropping epic.
RUDIMENTAL returns to the castle under their new alias RUDIM3NTAL. Known for reshaping the drum & bass scene over the past decade, the group is entering a fresh era with an explosive visual-heavy DJ set prepared especially for EC 2025. Riding a viral wave of success, Artemas brings global hits like “i like the way you kiss me” to Romania for the first time. The viral single has dominated charts and streaming platforms, cementing Artemas as a breakout star.
From her Moloko days to a critically acclaimed solo career, Róisín Murphy is a true legend of electro-pop. Theatrical, sophisticated, and hypnotic, she thrives on festival energy and delights fans with live renditions of classics like “Sing It Back” alongside tracks from Hot Parade, her newest and widely praised album. Also joining the lineup today is viral sensation Fish56Octagon, known for his unfiltered storytelling and unrivalled passion for dance music. Alongside him, Berlin-based duo Brutalismus 3000 will bring their signature raw, industrial sound. Both promising high-energy sets that fans won’t want to miss.
Joining previously confirmed acts like Justice, Bicep, Netsky, Nghtmre, Neil Frances, and Hot Since 82, the electronic lineup expands with names like Jayda G, DJ Tennis, and Anfisa Letyago – ensuring that all corners of the electronic music spectrum, from acid to house and techno, are represented. At Electric Castle, one of Europe’s only festival’s with an indoor non-stop club, the dancing truly never stops.
Rock fans will feel the rumbling bass and riffs surge with new additions like Bad Nerves, joining Refused, Leprous and Sisters of Mercy to keep the voltage high throughout the five-day experience. Local legends Iris and Zdob și Zdub will also take the stage, bringing Romanian rock into the spotlight.
This year’s lineup brings a fresh dose of trap, rap, and hip-hop from both international and local acts that reflect the genre’s evolving spirit. Highlights include Joey Valence & Brae, blending classic hip-hop with a modern twist, Atlanta trap star Young Nudy, and underground reggaetón icon Rosa Pistola. Representing Romania are major names to discover like Grasu XXL, Deliric x Silent Strike featuring the Muse Quartet for a unique fusion of classical and hip-hop, and rising voices On the Block, Rava, Oscar, and Călinacho, each bringing a distinctive style and powerful message for the next generation.
In and around the music at Electric Castle is a wealth of fun activities, from exploring Fashion Markets inside castle, taking Hot Air Balloon rides and Bungee Jumping over the campsite, to games on the Basketball and Volleyball courts in the impressive sports arena, plus there’s a popular day time Cinema, a programme of EC Talks, spontaneous BBQ cookouts and relaxing moments a plenty in the Lakeside Forest.
