It’s official, Roxanne Hoyle, LadBaby Mum and wife to last year’s winner, Mark Hoyle (LadBaby) has been crowned this year’s Clas Ohlson Celebrity Mum of the Year 2019.
Roxanne went head-to-head with royalty and A-Lister mums including the likes of Kate Middleton, Holly Willoughby and Giovanna Fletcher. Following the votes being counted and verified, it has been confirmed that the influencer has won this year’s award with a landslide of public votes.
Roxanne’s award was presented to her by Clas Ohlson at The Shard.
The LadBaby family, consisting of Dad Mark, Mum Roxanne and their two sons, have stolen the hearts of the nation with their meteoric rise to stardom. The couple rose to fame with their viral videos taking over social feeds and they recently celebrated a Christmas number One with their rendition of Starship’s ‘We Built This City… On Sausage Rolls’. The ‘official’ music video has now racked up a whopping 4 million views on YouTube.
Often bearing the brunt of Mark’s pranks and humour, Roxanne has also been famed for her ever-patient parenting, and is a relatable figure for mums everywhere. Her win signals a shift in the public’s perception of what it means to be a ‘celebrity’, with a clear preference for relatability and those who share a closer resemblance to the everyday experience of being a mum.
Previous winners of Celebrity Mum of The Year include the likes of Amy Childs, Giovanna Fletcher and Holly Willoughby.
Speaking of her win, Roxanne said: ‘I am so honoured and flattered to be chosen as Clas Ohlson’s Celebrity Mum of the Year. Being up against the likes of Holly Willoughby and Kate Middleton is just crazy. I’m not really sure how I’m even in the same category as such superstars and Princesses but it’s incredible to be recognised as a top mum.
At the end of the day I’m just like every other mum in the country that’s trying to do the best for their kids and give them the very best start in life. It isn’t always easy when you’re dealing with daily tantrums and supermarket meltdowns but there’s nothing a Baby Shark dance can’t fix!
