Where to go now: Make the Summer bloom with St Germain

St Germain is adding a dash of inspiration to joyful moments spent amongst friends this summer, with the return of it’s spectacular summer terrace series.

With summer holiday plans still uncertain for many, St Germain has partnered with renowned florist McQueens Flowers to curate a series of beautiful floral terraces, adding a touch of ‘je ne sais quoi’ to al fresco hotspots – the perfect place for friends to come together for moments of shared indulgence.

The terrace takeovers, which include London hotspots Great Northern Hotel and Radio Rooftop, will provide a floral oasis for people to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and sip on a signature ST-GERMAIN Spritz in the sunshine.

The series will include the launch of ‘Floraison by St-Germain’ later this month, at 1 Broadway Market – a celebration of art and nature headed up by award-winning bartender and drinks connoisseur Remy Savage. The takeover will see the establishment’s greenhouse stye terrace filled with botanicals, neon installations and McQueen’s flowers, all in French Art Nouveau style for an atmospheric ambience as well as a takeaway cocktail hatch – offering Londoners St Germain Spritzes and a picnic kit for those who fancy indulging in shared moments of decadence in nearby London Fields.

What’s more, for those looking to cultivate their creative side, St Germain and McQueens Flowers are launching a new Bouquet & Spritz Workshop, running every Thursday throughout August (5th, 12th, 19th and 26th August) at the renowned florists’ own studio in the heart of central London. Bookable through Eventbrite, tickets cost £85, which includes a ST-GERMAIN Spritz Kit to take home.

Attendees will be taught how to mix this summer’s must-have cocktail, the seductively Parisian SSt Germain Spritz, followed by a masterclass on how to create a beautiful bouquet inspired by the wild elderflowers found in the liqueur.

Franck Dedieu, UK brand ambassador for St Germain said:

This summer should be all about reconnecting with friends and family and finally celebrating those shared moments of indulgence with one another. And, since our usual summer holidays are unlikely to go ahead, through our summer terrace series and floral workshops we wanted to bring a touch of French decadence to the UK to effortlessly elevate those occasions.

Prepare to delight your palate. Intrinsically French, seductively Parisian, the signature ST-GERMAIN Spritz is the perfect aperitif which combines the beautiful taste of ST-GERMAIN with sparkling wine, sparkling water and a twist of lemon over ice. What better way to enjoy the aperitif moment du jour, than relaxing in the summer sunshine amongst gorgeous florals and your loved ones?”

St Germain is made from fresh, delicate elderflower blossoms, handpicked at the height of their beauty during the fleetingly ephemeral growing season, once a year. Its balanced, versatile and refined character has a natural sweetness that effortlessly elevates any cocktail.
