Reebok and Charli Cohen Explore the Intersection of Technology and Humanity in Latest Collaboration
Technology can’t emulate what makes us human, but that doesn’t mean that humanity can’t be upgraded by technology. Today Reebok unveils its latest collaboration with Charli Cohen that explores the concept of an exoskeleton – something that enables performance outside of the realm of natural biology but also honors the imperfections that make us human.
“Growing up in the first generation of digital natives, I’m fascinated by the conflict between the immensity of what technology gives us access to and the limitations of what the human brain can actually process,” said Charli Cohen. “I think this gap is one the key reasons that we’re in a mental health crisis. Bridging the gap relies on technology that works in harmony with our humanity. This technology should give us the tools we need to evolve as quickly as our environment, without overriding the imperfections that make us individuals. Innovation in sports performance technology already embraces these ideals so it’s really exciting to be able to explore this inspiration in collaboration with Reebok, a brand known for innovation.”
This instalment of Reebok x Charli Cohen includes two silhouettes: the all-new Zig Kinetica Horizon and the FUSIUM Run 20 Sock.
Zig Kinetica Horizon: This latest iteration of the Zig franchise is engineered to transcend its performance-based origin in an updated, slimmer silhouette designed specifically for women’s feet. The Zig Kinetica Horizon features a breathable mesh upper to deliver functional style and ventilation as well as an updated version of the Zig energy system.
FUSIUM Run 20 Sock: These running shoes offer a smooth, lightweight ride with a textile upper which hugs your foot with a sock-like fit. The FUSIUM Run 20 Sock also incorporates Reebok’s signature Floatride Fuel to provide an enhanced, high-rebound cushioning experience.
The Reebok x Charli Cohen collection will be globally available in women’s sizes on June 29th on Reebok.co.uk and charli-cohen.com.
