What to wear now: JJJJound x Reebok Classic Leather Nylon

Reebok and Montreal-based design studio JJJJound officially reveal their collaborative reimagining of Reebok’s historic Classic leather Nylon retro runner, available today exclusively from JJJJound.

Born in the 80’s as a durable running shoe, the Classic Leather Nylon speaks to the evolution of Reebok’s fitness heritage that today offers a breadth staple models for contemporary lifestyle wardrobes. The classic design features a unique upper combining nylon textile and suede leather resulting in a light, breathable, and comfortable footwear model – an understated execution to which JJJJound’s 2020 iteration stays true.

In authentic minimalist form, JJJJound’s paper white, chalk and beige spin on the classic silhouette is void of any and all Reebok branding, removing the tongue label and replacing Reebok’s window box Union Jack and wordmark with its own. The model’s white nylon upper and garment leather side stripe is wrapped in ultra-suede overlays at the cross check, vamp and heel, seated atop a paper white midsole and utility beige rubber outsole that cleanly matches the sneaker’s beige terry sockliner.

Reebok and JJJJound first came together in spring of 2019, resulting in a quiet yet highly-coveted take on Reebok’s Club C, which JJJJound unveiled exclusively at its new Montreal pop-up installation, “Centre de Commande.”

The FW20 JJJJound x Reebok Classic Leather Nylon is available on Reebok.com.
