WHAT TO WEAR NOW: CHAMPION X BEAMS BOY LAUNCH

Champion are excited to announce their new collaboration with Beams Boy. Dropping on October 26th, the collection comprises 12 pieces that have been designed by BEAMS BOY using key vintage pieces from Champion’s 100-year history.

First launched in 1998, BEAMS BOY is the women’s sub-label that sits within iconic Japanese streetwear label, BEAMS. Keeping an emphasis on key menswear items, the sub-label was created for women who love the function and style found in traditional men’s fashion. Timeless garments that focus on function and substance through specific silhouettes and fabrics form the backbone of BEAMS BOY.

BEAMS BOY has always harboured a passion for vintage clothing, with this being one of the strongest influences for the label since the very beginning. In parallel with the every-growing value and global popularity of vintage clothing, BEAMS BOY has focused on Champion’s own vintage products for this collaboration. Carefully researching the extraordinary amount of archives, BEAMS BOY selected a few specific models for inspiration in helping to design this collection.

Similarly, Champion were attracted to the vintage ‘B Grade’ defective products from BEAM BOYS that were never meant to be sold. Recognising something unique in the imperfections, Champion have utilised the distorted printed logos from BEAMS BOYS and
added a playful twist.

The result is an array of pieces from soft Reverse Weave hoodies and joggers in autumnal greens and blues, adorned with the classic ‘C’ and ‘Beams Boy’ logos to structured blazers in blue, white and black and even dresses harnessing Champion’s iconic Reverse Weave fabrics.

The Champion x BEAMS BOY collaboration is available from 26th October and will be available to purchase from Champion.com and selected retailers.
