We’ve all been there right? Stood in the wine aisle trying to decide between all of the options in front of you, it’s a tough decision!
Research shows shoppers spend an average of five and a half minutes wandering the supermarket aisles deciding what wine to buy, with six in ten Brits admitting their choice of wine is based purely on looks and location.
With this in mind, the premium wine brand, Brancott Estate, has launched a beautiful limited edition bottle, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II visiting the Marlborough vineyard.
Lucy Bearman, Wine Portfolio Director at Pernod Ricard said: “It’s great to be able to work with a local New Zealand artist to celebrate the anniversary of the Queen’s incredible visit to our winery. We know our customers love a limited edition design and we want to give them the opportunity to get their hands on this one off special bottle. We hope they love it as much as we do.”
Their story began over 40 years ago, with a bold idea to plant vines in Marlborough, New Zealand. At the time, the South Island was considered too cold to grow grapes, but Brancott Estate challenged this thinking and planted the very first Sauvignon Blanc vines in Marlborough. It was this pioneering spirit that led to something spectacular; the distinctive and vibrant expression of Sauvignon Blanc now loved all over the world.
From today, Brits will have the chance to get their hands on the beautifully designed limited edition bottles from Ocado RRP of £9.50 (while stocks last).
Working with Rose Northey, New Zealand born illustrator and poet, the design curated for the bottle is inspired by Her Royal Highness’s visit and features a hand reaching down to a vine; symbolic of The Queen’s own planting in 1990.
Since planting the first seedlings of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in 1973, at the Brancott Estate Vineyard, the brand has continued to impress, with a constant stream of awards and accolades from around the world such as Gold in the New York International Wine Competition and Blue-Gold in Sydney International Wine Competition.
The Award Winning Premium white wine from Marlborough, New Zealand has sweet ripe fruit characters, making it perfect for dinner parties and BBQ’s. So try something new today, celebrate being at home or a long day in the office with a glass of limited edition Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc.
