What to drink now: Cocktails for watching sports

As a busy season of sports is fast approaching, we have picked out the best of Bacardi’s cocktail recipes to try at home for you to enjoy on game day. Spice things up this game season with some alternative drink options to host viewing parties from your home. Even if watching sports is something you dread, making these tasty and unique recipes will be a fun activity to keep you entertained!

Grey Goose Spiced Orange Martini 

Ingredients

  • 50ml Grey Goose Vodka
  • 20ml White port
  • 10ml Cointreau

Recipe

  • Garnished with thin slice orange, grated cinnamon and star anise

 

 

Tails Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

  • 125ml Whiskey Sour Tails
  • ICE

Recipe

  • Pour 125ml of Tails Whisky Sour into a shaker filled with ice, shake well and strain into glass. Garnish with lemon zest.

 

Bacardi Rum Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients

  • 200ml BACARDÍ Ocho
  • 100ml hot water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 heaped tbsp soft brown sugar
  • 5 small knobs of butter
  • Lemon peel

Recipe

  • Add all the ingredients a medium size saucepan
  • On a medium heat, stir continually until the sugar has dissolved
  • Gently heat a pouring vessel (glass jug) with hot water.
  • When the sugar has dissolved, simmer for 5/10mins to infuse all the flavours. After 10 mins, discard hot water from jug and decant rum to the jug. Cinnamon stick and lemon twist to garnish.

 

Tails Espresso Martini 

Ingredients

  • 125ml Expresso Martini Tails
  • ICE

Recipe

  • Pour 125ml of Tails Espresso Martini into a shaker filled with ice, shake well and strain into glass with coffee beans to garnish.

 

St~Germain Royale

Ingredients

  • ¾ oz ST~GERMAIN
  • 5-6 oz Champagne
  • Blackberry to garnish

Recipe

  • Pour ST~GERMAIN into a chilled Champagne glass (from freezer).
  • Top with Champagne.
  • Give the drink a quick stir.
  • Garnish with a blackberry by placing on the rim of the glass.

 

Bacardi Rum Gingerbread Colada 

Ingredients

  • 50ml BACARDÍ Spiced
  • 10ml Fresh Lime Juice 
  • 10ml Gingerbread Syrup (Monin*) 
  • 20ml Amaretto Liqueur 
  • 30ml Coco Lopez (Cream of Coconut) 
  • 40ml Pineapple Juice 

Recipe

  • Add all ingredients into shaker. Shake with cubes ice. Strain and serve long over cubed ice.
  • Alternatively add all ingredients to blender/nutri bullet and blitz with a small scoop of ice until smooth. Pour and enjoy. Pineapple wedge and a cherry to garnish. 
Bombay Sapphire Festive Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 50ml Bombay Sapphire
  • 20ml Orange blossom honey syrup (1:1 ratio with hot water)
  • 125ml Pomegranate & Ginger Kombucha – pre-chilled.

Recipe

  • Fill a large gin balloon or red wine glass with cubed Ice. Squeeze & drop in 1 orange wedge. Measure & pour in the Bombay Sapphire & honey syrup.
  • Stir well to mix then top with the flavoured Kombucha. Carefully fold/stir again to combine then garnish with a freshly awoken rosemary sprig.
