Vue Croydon Launches Passport for Young Big-Screen Fans for Summer Holidays

With the school holidays in full swing, Vue Croydon is bringing a packed line-up of family films and special screenings to the big screen this summer. Alongside the latest animated adventures and family blockbusters, the cinema is making it easier to keep younger film fans entertained with discounted tickets, dedicated screenings, and a new Summer Family Passport.

In partnership with the Great British Summer Savings scheme, children aged 14 and under can enjoy discounted tickets throughout the summer, making a trip to the cinema a little easier on the family budget. Vue’s Mighty Mornings offer another way to catch family films for less, with screenings taking place every day during the school break and tickets from just £2.49 when booked online. The line-up includes The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, The Magic Faraway Tree, and The Sheep Detectives, alongside other family favourites.

Vue’s new Summer Family Passport Book adds a little extra incentive to work through the summer’s film line-up, with children able to collect stamps whenever they see a qualifying title. Every major family release comes with a stamp, including the latest blockbusters, returning favourites, Mighty Mornings, and special Big Shorts screenings for younger audiences. Kids can also share photos of their passports and summer cinema adventures on Vue’s dedicated Facebook post for the chance to win a £25 Vue gift card.

There is plenty on the programme to explore during the holidays, starting with Toy Story 5, which sees Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang face a new threat when Bonnie receives a new tablet. Minions & Monsters brings the Despicable Me favourites to Hollywood, where their attempt at becoming movie stars goes spectacularly off course, while Disney’s live-action Moana, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie are also joining the summer line-up. For the youngest cinema-goers, Vue’s Big Shorts screenings offer a gentle introduction to the big screen, with dimmed lighting and shorter-form entertainment, including Talking Tom Superheroes: Suddenly Super for children aged one to four.

Vue operates 91 cinemas across the UK and Ireland, with more than 850 screens showing everything from the latest blockbusters and family releases to live events, theatre, sport, and classic re-releases. Alongside comfortable leather seating and Laser by Barco technology, selected cinemas also offer EPIC by Vue, its premium format with high dynamic range picture quality and Dolby Atmos sound – delivering a thrilling cinema experience for visitors, no matter what their age.
