VOXI by Vodafone enhances payment services for mobile handsets

VOXI by Vodafone has introduced new payment terms to support customers who are looking for more options to help spread the cost of their mobile handset. VOXI customers can now select By Now Pay Later (BNPL) – Paypal Pay in 3, allowing customers to spread the cost of their device over three payments or alternatively, customers can now also choose to spread the cost across 12,24,30 and 36 months with PayPal Credit**..

Through its partnership with leading payments services provider PayPal, VOXI had previously only offered a 30-month credit term to customers.

VOXI Buy Now Pay Later services will initially be rolled out to existing VOXI customers only, and then extended to new customers from next month. Available to purchase through the VOXI website, devices must be a minimum** of £99 to qualify for a 12/24/30/36 months credit plan and between £30 – £2000 to qualify for a Pay in 3 plan – subject to terms and eligibility.

Buy Now Pay Later is currently the fastest-growing online payment method in the UK, with a growth rate double that of bank transfers and more than triple that of digital wallets. As of 2023, more than one-third (36%) of people in the UK have used BNPL services at some point, which equates to more than 19 million people.

An additional 13% intend to use BNPL services in the future, whilst BNPL has been found to be more popular with millennials, with more than half (55%) using the payment method as of 2023. The global BNPL market is forecast to grow by £34.8 billion between 2022 and 2026.
