Vevo today announces the release of Sam Fender’s exclusive LIFT performances of “The Borders” and new single “Will We Talk?” The North Shields singer-songwriter has already enjoyed a colossal year of pinch yourself moments, and with the imminent release of his eagerly-anticipated debut album Hypersonic Missiles through Polydor Records, Sam’s fascinating story has barely begun.

“It was a truly magic day,” said Sam Fender. “Everybody in the team worked so well together and I am so proud of the performances we’ve captured with Vevo and for being selected as a LIFT artist. We went in there and played like it was our last day on earth.”

Sam Fender is a singular, rare talent. The 25-year-old musician plays every gig as though it could well be his last, armed with a huge, cavernous vocal and electric guitar, and fuelled by the timeless belief that great guitar music still has the power to change lives and influence people. Writing about subjects and situations close to Sam’s heart and influenced by the Northern city in which he grew up in, he’s an artist who doesn’t lose sight of where he’s come from, but surely has little idea of where this could all be heading. A big character, with an even bigger voice.

Since its inception in 2011, Vevo’s artist development programme LIFT has thrown the spotlight on the freshest new talent in Britain. Vevo LIFT alumni include the likes of Tom Walker, Sam Smith, Years & Yearsand Rag‘N’Bone Man who all gave their fans a sneak peek into their early careers via a series of Vevo videos.

“The Borders” and “Will We Talk?” are now streaming on all platforms. Keep up with exclusive content from artists all over the world at
