Verge Visits Miami with Vodafone

We took the Vodafone Smart N9 to Miami to find our top three things to do;

Free Sunset & Sunrise Yoga on South Beach

Sunrise and sunset yoga classes are offered daily in South Beach by the Third Street lifeguard tower. Rise and shine at 7 a.m. or come in the evening at 5 p.m. during winter and fall months and at 6 p.m. in the spring and summertime. This tradition started in 1998 when newly certified local yoga teacher October Rose began her daily practice on the beach at Third Street. Over time, other locals joined her and before she knew it, she was leading an impromptu morning class. While Rose moved to India in 2008, a roster of local yoga teachers has kept the practice going in her honor. Participants are asked to bring a big beach towel, water and sunscreen. These classes are free and donations are accepted

American Social

All-American good looks describe this upscale-casual Brickell gastropub with a dock and canopied waterfront patio on the Miami River. Dozens of craft brews on tap, updated comfort classics like burgers and chicken and waffles, and perks like flat-screen TVs, late-night hours and a self-serve beer station make it a meet-and-mingle spot for twentysomethings.

Sugar @ EAST Miami

Designed to resemble a lush and whimsical oasis, this rooftop bar at EAST Miami aims to make you feel as though you’re lounging at a chic, invite-only garden party. Lights strung haphazardly from tree to tree twinkle overhead. Oversized lawn chairs beg to be curled up in, and Brickell’s dazzling urban landscape sprawls out far below. This is glam to the max.

Sugar’s cocktail menu focuses on light and refreshing drinks featuring tropical and Asian influences. A crowd favorite, the Lychee Blossom includes fresh pressed lychee juice, Hakutsuru Excellent Junmai Sake, and Russian Standard Vodka.

Vodafone’s leading entertainment offer just got even better. They can enjoy everything from Premier League Football and Autumn Rugby Internationals on Sky Sports, to the new series of The Walking Dead on the NOW TV Entertainment Pass – all on their mobile so they can catch up on the action wherever they are.

This offer is available to existing customers who have already chosen Sky Sports Mobile TV as their content choice, as well as to new customers who sign up to a 24-month handset plan or 12-month SIM-only plan and select Sky Sports Mobile TV.

Alternatively, customers can also choose Prime Video, Spotify Premium or a NOW TV Entertainment Pass for the duration of their contract because, unlike other providers, Vodafone offers customers a choice of four different content partners.

Glafkos Persianis, Consumer Director, said: “We offer Sky Sports Mobile TV, NOW TV Entertainment, Prime Video or Spotify Premium for the full duration of our customers’ contracts (24-month handset or 12-month SIM-only plans).  Together with our market-leading choice of entertainment, we think this sets us apart from our competitors as the king of mobile content.”

Red Entertainments plans are available on all Pay monthly handsets – including the new iPhone XS and Samsung Galaxy Note9, as well as on selected SIM-only plans.
