What attracted you to begin a career as an actress?
I was a really extroverted kid growing up, I wanted to do many things all at the same time. Creativity for me was like a childhood friend. Moreover, I find humans intriguing and complex. I like the figuring it out process, the journey and acting is a vehicle to get to do that with.
What has been your greatest accomplishment so far?
Every step so far has had its moment of blessings attached to it. I am thankful. I am humbled by the process so far but there is still so much to explore, therefore my greatest is yet to come.
Of all the roles you have played in the past, which is your favourite?
So far, Mrouj. She has taught many things and has challenged me. Grateful I got to play her.
What sort of acting roles will you be seeking in the future?
Definitely roles that challenge me. Nuanced characters that are layered and multi dimensional speak to me the loudest.
Have you ever had difficulties with a character? What role and why was it challenging?
Not as of yet. I have been lucky in the sense that the teams (crew and cast), I have worked with have all been so supportive during the creation of these characters.
The series BAGHDAD CENTRAL just released, do you have anything in common with your character?
We are very different people, I would even say opposites lol but that prospect made the process of getting to know her and portray her even the more fun.
If you could choose one series or film have a role in, which one would you choose?
Brandon in Boys don’t cry is up there, it’s one of my favourite films.
If there was an actress that had to play you in a movie, who would you choose and why?
Oh tough one lol. Dafne Keen she’s lovely.
Who do you look up to?
Many people around me inspire me. Everyone who has created, is creating or about to create inspired and inspires me. My mother is my hero though. She’ll be happy I said that haha. It’s true.
