Verge loves: Transition Festival

The creators of Snowboming have outdone themselves with a brand new music and ski experience. Transition Festival provides the perfect combination of fun with winter wonderland activities during the day and amazing performances and nightlife after dark. Verge had the privilege of checking out what all the fuss is about and we weren’t left disappointed.

From the incredible aesthetics to the brilliant hospitality, we could easily say that Transition Fest quickly became our winter fave. Ever been raving on a mountain? We have. Ever enjoyed the incredible frosted tops of Avoriaz whilst recovering from an epic igloo disco battle from the night before? We definitely have.

Transition provides six days of ultimate fun – from instagram worthy pool parties to delicious BBQ’s (which does wonders for that hangover). Now, even if you’re not an all time ski pro you can still enjoy the rush of the slopes as Transition caters for all – even if you just take selfies pretending to ski, which we are totally guilty of. If you’re not into skiing that much but still need a winter kick, feel free to take part in possibly one of the biggest snowball fights we’ve ever experienced – we challenge you to leave without looking like a snow cone.

Transition Festival provides a top-notch festival experience with world class acts to keep your party senses on edge. From Dizzee Rascal to Bondax Transition kept us all entertained night after night; we seriously considered never leaving.

In our experience, one of the most annoying parts of a great party weekender is coming back to a lousy hotel where you’re terrified of what you might find. Luckily for us we stayed at one of Avoriaz’s best hotels – Crozats Apartments ; Saskia really took care of us, which is just what we needed after hours of ski ‘n’ dance. Just 5 minutes from the town center, we had the best of both worlds. We even had our own kitchenette, perfect for saving the pennies by making those delish bacon butty’s.

If you need a change of scenery and want an adventure Verge highly recommends you get your gear and head down to the slopes next year!
