Verge Loves: TEKKEN7’s Season Pass 2

On August 5th, 2018, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment announced that Negan from AMC’s popular TV series ‘The Walking Dead’ has entered the King of the Iron Fist Tournament in TEKKEN7. The first time fans were introduced to the idea of new characters to the fighting roaster was at EVO 2018, when Namco revealed that the second season of content will be made available on PlayStation, Xbox One and PC. Fans will be happy to also see in the new season of ‘TEKKEN’ that six returning characters will be joining TEKKEN7’s roaster, which are Anna, Lei Wulong, Craig Marduk, Armor King, and Julia.

The most anticipated announcement the fans are waiting for is The Walking Dead’s villain, Negan the evil – a baseball bat-wielding maniac – has made his way to TEKKEN7. The character is not only as seen on the AMC’s show but is also voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the original actor who portrays Negan in the show. With gameplay of Negan being shown across the world, fans can expect for some well worth-waited-for content!

Besides Negan, the returning characters from the past TEKKEN games have come back with some new looks. The first character that was shown is Anna Williams, the sister of the cold-blooded, Irish, professional assassin Nina who serves as Kazuya Mishima’s bodyguard, the character seems to have the same move set as Nina except for her finishing move which involves a dangerous green painted RPG which she uses on her opponent for target practice. The second character that was shown is Lei Wulong, who brings back his various, interesting animal-based fighting styles; Tiger, Crane, Leopard, Snake, and Dragon. Wulong is another classic TEKKEN character, inspired by Jackie Chan. The third character, is Armor King, a professional wrestler like ‘King’, seeking revenge for the death of his brother, now he seeks to challenge his brother’s killer so he can settle the score!

The fourth character that was shown is Craig Marduk, awoken from his coma in the hospital to find strange injection marks across his body. Seeking answers, he tried to locate the last opponent he faced who was also recovering from their fight. Before reaching his destination, he was stopped by King, who insisted Marduk to return to wrestling and instead settles the score with the opponent once and for all in the ring.

The last character is Julia Chang. After retiring as the famous masked fighter ‘Jaycee’, Julia decided to return to her passion which was expanding her reforestation efforts around the globe, far from the fighting scene. But, her project needed a certain amount of money. Finding it difficult to secure fundings for her project, Julia was forced to return to the fight far sooner than she had wanted. Seeking one final fight, she made it her mission to beat Kazuya Mishima. Doing so, launched an online video account as she thought this would attract awareness and global attraction which would be enough to fund the reforestation project that she desperately needed.

All characters are available now on all platforms, PlayStation 4, Xbox one also PC. TEKKEN7’s second pass is worth having a shot to play as some memorable faces and Negan himself or if you don’t have the game, why not give it a try to fight your way through the seventh king of iron fist tournament!
