Dash Water is a new breed of British flavoured water, bringing healthy and sustainable hydration to the fore. The first of its kind in the UK, this new range of sparkling spring waters is uniquely infused with surplus ‘wonky’ fruit saved from British farms.
Born out of a desire to create a distinctively refreshing soft drink, free from sugars and sweeteners and produced with the lowest possible impact on the environment, entrepreneurs and friends Alex Wright and Jack Scott set out to prove that flavoured water could be developed naturally and sustainably, from the packaging through to the product itself.
The result is a responsibly crafted, three-can collection of waters each with a unique dash of flavour from curved cucumbers, squashed raspberries and knobbly lemons – the bountiful produce deemed too “imperfect” for supermarket shelves. Infused for eight hours, Dash Water includes nothing more than British spring water, wonky fruit and bubbles, making an appetisingly natural soft-drink alterative.
With compatible backgrounds in both farming and the soft drinks industry, Alex and Jack have witnessed first-hand the level of food waste caused by the overly stringent regulations on produce grown:
“We both wanted to bring a taste-centric, soft drink option to the table that was free from sugar and guilt. At the same time we recognised the need to minimise food waste at farms, so Dash Water was the combined result. So much produce is rejected by supermarkets, simply for not looking the part. The cucumbers, raspberries and lemons that we use to craft our naturally flavoured waters may be wonky but they are just as wonderful, and full of flavour.”
Available in three flavours – Lemon, Cucumber and Raspberry, Dash Water is beautifully packaged in sleek design-led, “on the go” recyclable aluminium cans, adding to the brand’s mindfully sustainable approach.
