UK Festival Hotspots 2015

Though finals are looming over us, festival season is almost here which is certainly cause enough to give yourself a well deserved revision break. Here are some UK festival hot spots to consider this summer.

From 24th to 28th June, Glastonbury will return with a bang. We told you earlier this week that Kanye West is headlining Saturday, although there has been a lot of controversy around that decision. There is currently an online petition going around to get him removed as headliner. Aside from this, Glasto is bound to be a huge success as it always is. Tickets for Glastonbury are already sold out, but if you missed the sale, no worries. A resale of cancelled and returned tickets will take place this spring.

Reading and Leeds Festival

Reading and Leeds are both held from 28th to 30th August and tickets are still available! If you’re only staying for the day tickets are £66.50. If you plan on camping, tickets start at £213 and you can purchase extras like car passes, lockers, and seats of luxury. The lineup for Reading is already online featuring seasoned festival veterans Metallica and The Libertines; some blasts from the past including Simple Plan and New Found Glory; and relatively new comers Peace and Swim Deep.

The last festival to keep an eye out for is Bestival which is held 10th to 13th September on the Isle of Wight. The theme of the amazing festival this year is “Summer of Love” in hopes to harken back to what made people adore festivals in the first place. The lineup this year is seriously impressive with names like Duran Duran, Charli XCX, Tame Impala, and Chemical Brothers. With nine areas to explore including Wishing Tree Field, Stardust Field, and Ambient Forest, there will not be a shortage of gigs to see or places to sit back and relax with friends. YOu don’t want to miss this!
