Turner & George To Bring Meat, Wine and Live Fire to The Corkman for One More Night

Turner & George will be teaming up with independent Islington wine merchant The Corkman on Wednesday 14th October, for an intimate evening dedicated to exceptional meat, excellent wine, and great conversation, taking place in the venue’s exclusive hidden courtyard.

The Wine & Meat Tasting will see a selection of prime Turner & George cuts of beef and pork, cooked over the live fire grill, and paired with carefully selected wines. The full menu won’t be revealed until the evening, leaving plenty of room for a few surprises along the way.

Following the success of the pair’s previous tastings, this event brings back the same format but with 16 spaces available, making it an ideal outing for those who prefer to get a closer look at the food and drink, immerse themselves in conversation, and enjoy a more intimate setting.

Turner & George was founded by restaurateur Richard H. Turner and butcher James George, combining restaurant-level knowledge of meat with traditional butchery expertise. The team sources British native breeds from independent farms and smallholdings, with meat dry-aged in-house on the bone, alongside house-made sausages and burgers. Its Angel shop on St John Street has become a key destination for purchasing high-quality meat, with the team also on hand to offer advice on choosing, preparing, and cooking each cut.

The tasting will take place at The Corkman, 397 St John Street, London EC1V 4LD, from 7:15pm to 9pm on Wednesday 14 October, with tickets priced at £70 per person and available here. There are only 16 seats available, and with the previous tasting proving a success, early booking is recommended.
