Today, we’ll be featuring some of the best hip-hop producers who, throughout the course of their flourishing careers, have had a significant influence on the genre.

This producer has been making a lot of noise in the underground rap scene. The fame of “OK,” a producer from Charlotte, North Carolina, has been skyrocketing due to his work producing for well-known underground musicians like Glokk40Spaz, Izaya Tiji, and OsamaSon. His most notable collaboration is undoubtedly with Nettspend on their popular song “nothing like uuu,” which has become a mainstream hit due to its immense success on TikTok and among underground fans.

9) Starboy & Outtatown

We shall include both producers on this list as they are the founding members of “ADRENALINE,” their own production collective. Let’s start with Starboy, a Netherlands-based musical producer. While these are few examples of some of the milestones of his career, he is most recognised for his collaborations with Playboi Carti, Ken Carson, Lil Uzi Vert, Yeat, and Trippie Redd. Some of his most well-known songs he has created are “BOP,” “Futsal Shuffle 2020,” and “Breathe.”

Next up is Outtatown, a multi-platinum record producer from Nijmegen, Netherlands, who has been nominated for a Grammy. Along with many others, he is well-known for producing Playboi Carti, Ken Carson, Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd. Among the songs he has produced that are most well-known are “Family Ties,” “Ski,” and “Go2DaMoon.” There’s no denying that these two incredibly skilled producers are amazing.

8) FL1THY

It’s easy to understand why this producer has been ruling the hip-hop scene since 2020, he gave hip-hop a whole new sound.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is home to record producer F1LTHY. The unforgettable production tag “Wake up, F1LTHY” describes his gritty, eerie, even mysterious trap sound. Because of his work on Playboi Carti’s 2020 album Whole Lotta Red, which peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 list, F1LTHY became widely acknowledged for his dark style.

Notable tunes including “Rockstar Made,” “Stop Breathing,” and “Punk Monk” were created by him, in addition to the album’s opening track. He is the creator of several well-known songs, including “New Tank,” “Poland,” “Jumbotron Shit Poppin,” and “Paranoid.”

Originating in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. American record producer BNYX is consistency growing in popularity . In addition to working with other well-known rappers, BNYX is most known for his productions with prominent rapper “Yeat,” with whom he has been making waves in the hip-hop industry. As noted by fans, BNYX had a major role in Yeat’s success.

Many well-known tracks, such as “Slime You Out,” “MELTDOWN,” “Rich Baby Daddy,” and “Search & Rescue,” are his creations. When his famous producer tag appears on a song, you know you’re in for something incredible. He is truly an incredibly creative and imaginative producer.

6) Take a Daytrip

With their rhythms and recognisable producer tag, this New York-based producer duo is not only successful but also well-known. They have been behind the boards for several well-known tunes and have collaborated with a diverse range of performers. The pair secured significant placements with Sheck Wes, Travis Scott, 6LACK, Dua Lipa, significant Sean, Miley Cyrus, Cordae, James Blake, and many more. They also executive produced Lil Nas X’s 2021 debut album, MONTERO. Additionally, they landed production credits on seven tracks from Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon III.

Although they have created several popular singles, “Mo Bamba” by Sheck Wes, which reached at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2017, is arguably their biggest song. Here is yet another instance of two skilled producers that are proficient in their craft.

5) Wheezy

Known for his production tag “Wheezy Outta Here!”, this well-known producer is acknowledged for his substantial contributions to commercially successful songs and albums by well-known musicians in the music industry, mostly in the hip-hop genre. Among many others, he has produced fan favourite songs for Future, Nav, 21 Savage, Gunna, Meek Mill, Lil Durk, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, and Lil Baby.

Wheezy rose to fame in the latter part of the 2010s. He produced two Billboard Hot 100 top ten hits, “Yes Indeed” by Lil Baby and “Going Bad” by Meek Mill. He produced only the entirety of Gunna’s first extended play (EP), Drip or Drown (2017). The South Carolina-based rapper and record producer is most well-known for his productions including “Magnolia” by Playboi Carti and “Gummo” by 6ix9ine, both of which peaked at number 30 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2017.

Renowned for being an important player in modern rap culture. Bourne’s distinctive producing style, inventive musical approach, and partnerships with well-known musicians have greatly influenced the rap landscape. Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, Young Nudy, Trippie Redd, Kanye West, Drake, Nav, Duwap Kaine, and 21 Savage are just a few of the musicians he has collaborated with extensively.

3) Nick Mira

One of the most prominent hip hop producers of the late 2010s, Nick Mira is recognised by fans as the driving force behind Juice WRLD’s success. He is well-known for producing some of the greatest tracks by the late rapper Juice WRLD, including “Lucid Dreams,” “Robbery,” “Bandit,” “Lean Wit Me,” “Already Dead,” and “All Girls Are the Same.”

Nick Mira is unquestionably the greatest of the present wave of hip hop producers as he also collaborated with rapper Lil Tecca on the production of his 2019 smash song “Ransom,” and he also co-produced Internet Money’s 2020 single “Lemonade.”

2) Mustard

Known by his professional name, Mustard (or DJ Mustard), is a well-known American DJ and song producer. For both rappers and other well-known hip-hop and R&B performers, Mustard has created a significant number of songs and albums. His contribution to Tyga’s 2011 hit “Rack City” brought him to our attention initally.

The distinctive, fast-paced, club-focused beats of Mustard’s productions are incredibly catchy and melodious. “Mustard on the beat, ho!” is the well-known and iconic producer tag that opens and closes the majority of his tracks. If Mustard knows anything, it’s how much joy a club tune can bring us.

1) Metro Boomin

Undoubtedly the greatest hip-hop producer out there at the moment – and one of the most well-known. Critically-acclaimed producer Metro Boomin is seen as one of the most important producers of modern hip hop and trap music, having received praise from critics for his sinister production techniques.

“Jumpman” by Drake and Future, “Low Life” by Future, and his first number one production, “Bad and Boujee” by Migos, were among the many equally successful hits he produced during 2016. Post Malone’s “Congratulations,” Kodak Black’s “Tunnel Vision,” Future’s “Mask Off,” 21 Savage’s “Bank Account,” and The Weeknd’s second number-one hit, “Heartless,” came next.

He has so many hits that we find it impossible to keep up with, making him unquestionably among the best producer of our generation.
