The Race for the Top 4

The race for the Premier League Top 4 this season is certainly one for the neutrals, for the fans of the clubs involved it’s very tense. The premier league is always arguably known as the best league in the world and its living up to the billing with 2 teams fighting for the title which looks like it will go to the wire but we then have 4 teams fighting for the lucrative champions league spots.
Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and the only team outside of London Manchester Utd find themselves in this battle. Not one team has an obvious advantage, some may say Arsenal having none of the “top 6” to play, yet Unai Emery’s men are doing a good job of keeping it interesting by not turning up to away games! If the away form was half as good as their home they may actually find themselves in a championship battle with Liverpool and Manchester City. If Arsenal can grind out the wins which they have enough games to do and teams at a level they should be dominating there is no reason they can’t go on a run, One thing arsenal are good at is cup finals and that is what it’s becoming every game they play. The front two of Lacazette and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang should be getting them over the line and finish in a strong position of 3rd.
Chelsea, fresh off the high of Hazard tearing West ham apart could see their momentum knocked having to play Liverpool and coming up against a top 4 rival Manchester Utd. They have had their problems with Sarri ball and not settling on a striker but with the likes of Hazard a world beater on his day and the emergence of Hudson-Odoi they have the capabilities to make 4th place their own. My Prediction 4th.
Manchester Utd, not a team you normally have in this discussion due to the rich history of championships, They were written off completely and were in a battle to reach Europe via the Europa league. Since the baby assassin, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come back and done what he does best rescuing his club from the impossible they are now in the dog fight. Out of the 4 teams chasing the spots they probably have the strongest squad and getting the best out of the likes of Pogo, Rashford and Martial will always win you games, David De Gea is now looking his normal self too. Although Ole is doing a great job he still doesn’t have the magic to get his highest paid player Sanchez up to levels he should be. I think they are defender away for this race and then being further up the table. 6th Finish for these guys
Tottenham who have had the excitement of looking forward to a new stadium all season and proving people wrong that buying new players is something you have to do were flying there were no doubts they would be playing champions league football in their impressive stadium yet taking 4 points from a possible 18 in their last 6 games has now fans and owner shaking. An impressive victory against Manchester City may have their tails up but with talisman Harry looking likely to be on the sidelines for the remainder of the season I can see a decline and the team just missing out with a 5th place finish.
